A Note from our Founder

I fell in love with Argentina in 2019, and it's one of those places I've never quite stopped thinking about.

There's something about this country that gets under your skin. Maybe it's the late dinners that stretch even later, the music spilling out into the streets, the impossibly good glass of Malbec, or the way Buenos Aires can feel like Paris one minute and unmistakably South American the next. Argentina has this confidence about it, romantic, soulful, a little dramatic, and completely intoxicating.

But what I love most is just how many versions of Argentina there are.

There's the cosmopolitan energy of Buenos Aires, where beautiful architecture, incredible restaurants, neighborhood cafés, art, tango, and nightlife all seem to exist on top of one another. There's Mendoza, where everything slows down among vineyards and long lunches, with the Andes looming so ridiculously beautifully in the distance they almost don't look real. And then there's Bariloche, where Argentina becomes wild and quiet, deep blue lakes, forests, mountains, and that crisp Patagonian air that makes you want to stay outside just a little longer.

And then, because apparently Argentina needed one more way to completely show off, there is Iguazú Falls. 😂

To me, Argentina is the perfect introduction to South America because it gives you so much of what makes this part of the world extraordinary: the warmth, the passion, the food, the wine, the culture, the landscapes, and that wonderful feeling that life is meant to be enjoyed a little more slowly and a lot more fully.

This is the kind of country that makes you curious about what else is down here. You come for Argentina...and leave with a very long list of places in South America you suddenly NEED to see.

And I cannot wait for this to be the beginning of that love affair for so many of you.

About the Tour

The Argentina Galavant

From private tango salons and the homes of Argentine gauchos to vineyard lunches beneath the Andes and boat rides through the wild beauty of Patagonia, this is Argentina in a way few travelers ever get to experience.

Over eleven incredible days, we’ll go beyond simply seeing Argentina and be welcomed into it. We’ll step behind closed doors in Buenos Aires for intimate tango experiences, spend a day in the countryside immersed in gaucho traditions, and trade the city for Mendoza, where days unfold over private vineyard experiences, long wine-soaked lunches, artisan encounters, and the Andes rising dramatically behind it all. Then, we’ll fly south to Bariloche, where crisp fall days unfold among forests, mountains and impossibly blue lakes.

Along the way, we’ll stay at some of Argentina’s most spectacular five-star hotels, from the elegant Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires to vineyard-surrounded Entre Cielos and the legendary Llao Llao Resort in Patagonia. This is a Galavant built around the kind of moments we love most: beautiful places, incredible food and wine, fascinating locals, and experiences that feel personal rather than packaged.

For those joining the optional Iguazú Falls extension, Argentina has one final showstopper. We’ll stay at the Gran Meliá Iguazú, the only hotel inside Iguazú National Park, and experience one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World from BOTH Argentina and Brazil, including a private boat ride that brings us right into the mist of the falls.

Our Galavant through Argentina is designed to leave you completely smitten with South America, with its people, its flavors, its passion, its landscapes, and that wonderful feeling that there is still so much more here to discover.

What the Gals are Saying….

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I expected beautiful destinations, but I came home with so much more. From exploring the history of Istanbul and walking across the rooftops of the Grand Bazaar, to sunrise hot air balloon rides in Cappadocia, every experience was unforgettable. What made this trip so special wasn’t just the itinerary; it was the thought and care behind every detail and the friendships formed along the way. You created an experience that allowed us to slow down, embrace the culture, and truly enjoy every moment. Thank you for creating memories I’ll cherish for a lifetime. I can’t wait to travel with The Galavant Society again!

— Ashley B.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Galavant trip is a luxury travel experience led by incredible women for women who truly want to appreciate the world's most incredible places and make lifelong friendships along the way. As a wife and hard-working mom of two kids, this was the first vacation that I have ever had where I could just sit back and enjoy every scenic view, savor every bite of food, and be fully present in every engaging conversation with another "gal". The friendships I made on this trip are truly priceless and I will cherish this trip for the rest of my life.

— Tiffany S.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am a pretty regular solo traveler, so I have a good degree of comfort planning my own thing. But I will say Alle and Linda (and Brea!) really put together an amazing itinerary that showcased the best of India and brought along an awesome group of women. Their trips hit all the highlights you'd want to see, plus some hidden gems and unique opportunities you're probably not going to find on your own. I also love that they work hard to find a local guide who is historically/culturally knowledgeable and also fun! Loved my time in India :-)

Arrive in Buenos Aires a day or two ahead to shake off the jet lag, explore at your own pace, or simply enjoy a little extra five-star fabulousness before we begin. We can arrange your additional nights and private airport transfer, so all you have to do is arrive, settle in, and start enjoying Argentina.

EXTEND YOUR GALAVANT — Not quite ready to head home? We don't blame you. Add another night in Buenos Aires, explore another corner of Argentina, or turn this Galavant into an even bigger South American adventure. Our Private Galavant planning team can create a personalized pre- or post-trip itinerary just for you, because you've already come this far...why not make the most of it?

Buenos Aires

A Few Considerations:

‍ ‍You love a destination with contrasts
Argentina keeps changing on you, and that’s part of the magic. We’ll go from cosmopolitan Buenos Aires to Mendoza wine country and wild Patagonia, with tropical Iguazú for those joining the extension. If you love a trip where every stop feels completely different, this one delivers.

Food & wine are part of the adventure
Come hungry…and ready for Malbec. From asado and empanadas to vineyard lunches, wine blending, and dinners that deserve their own moment, food and wine are woven throughout this Galavant. You don’t need to be an expert, but you should definitely enjoy indulging.

✨ You’re flexible in transit
Argentina is BIG, and seeing this much of it means a few internal flights, airport transfers, and travel days. We’ve designed the flow thoughtfully, but you should be comfortable packing up and moving along. Trust us, what’s waiting on the other side is worth it.

✨ You like your nature with a side of luxury
This is Patagonia, but it’s not a hiking trip. We’ll get outside and soak up the scenery, but we also believe nature pairs beautifully with five-star hotels, fabulous meals, and spa time. Your free day is yours to hike, explore, or stay firmly in your robe.

✨ You appreciate time to make it your own
We love an incredible itinerary, but we don’t believe every minute needs to be scheduled. You’ll have free time in both Mendoza and Patagonia to follow your curiosity, book an optional experience, hit the spa, or simply enjoy our fabulous hotels and do absolutely nothing.

✨ You’re ready to get a little wild at Iguazú
For our extension Gals, Iguazú brings out our adventurous side. Expect rainforest trails, wildlife, mist, humidity, and a private boat ride that gets VERY close to those thundering falls. You will probably get wet. You will definitely make memories. And yes, it’s worth it.

If you have any questions about the above, we’re happy to chat! Just email us at hello@thegalavantsociety.com

Accommodations

BUENOS AIRES
Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt

Old-world glamour meets modern Buenos Aires at this iconic five-star retreat in Recoleta, one of the city’s most elegant and coveted neighborhoods. Set within a magnificent Belle Époque palace surrounded by lush gardens, Palacio Duhau puts us exactly where we want to be, steps from beautiful architecture, fabulous restaurants, boutiques, cafés, and some of Buenos Aires’ most famous sights.

And that location is exactly why we chose it. When you have free time, you can simply step outside and experience the city rather than feeling tucked away at a resort. Back at the hotel, there’s a serene spa, gorgeous gardens, incredible dining, and plenty of places for a glass of Argentine wine. Five-star fabulousness with Buenos Aires right outside our door? Sold.

MENDOZA
Entre Cielos Wine Hotel & Spa

If we’re coming all the way to Mendoza, we want to stay among the vines, and that’s exactly why we chose Entre Cielos. Set across 20 acres in the heart of Luján de Cuyo, this intimate wine-country retreat is surrounded by Malbec vineyards with the snowcapped Andes rising in the distance. Here, the vineyards aren’t somewhere we visit for the day, they’re the backdrop to our entire stay.

And when you’re not sipping your way through wine country? The hotel is home to Latin America’s first and only authentic traditional hammam, plus an outdoor pool, beautiful gardens, wine experiences, and plenty of quiet corners made for doing absolutely nothing. It’s Mendoza exactly how we want to experience it: immersive, indulgent, and fabulously unhurried.

BARILOCHE
Llao Llao Resort & Spa

If Patagonia had a grand dame, Llao Llao would be her. Set on a spectacular peninsula surrounded by lakes, mountains, and ancient forests, this legendary resort is one of Argentina’s most iconic stays, the kind of place where the setting alone makes your jaw drop. Alpine architecture, sweeping views, crackling fireplaces, and that crisp Patagonian air make it feel straight out of a storybook.

And this is a hotel you’ll actually have time to enjoy. Spend our free day at the spa, cozy up fireside, explore the surrounding trails, or simply claim a spot overlooking the lake and soak it all in. It’s grand without feeling stuffy, luxurious without losing its sense of place, and exactly where we want to experience the magic of Patagonia.

IGUAZÚ - EXTENSION
Gran Meliá Iguazú

There are hotels near bucket-list wonders...and then there’s Gran Meliá Iguazú. The only hotel located inside Iguazú National Park, this five-star retreat puts us quite literally on the doorstep of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, surrounded by lush subtropical rainforest with the thunder of the falls just beyond.

And the real showstopper? That infinity pool overlooking Iguazú Falls. After a day exploring the cascades, come back for a swim, a cocktail, a spa moment, or simply sit and take in a view you traveled all this way to see. This isn’t just where we’re sleeping during our extension; staying here is part of the Iguazú experience itself.
