India is one of the most vibrant, colorful, and enthralling places in the world.
Its diversity of people, cultures, and cuisine makes it a dream for curious travelers with open minds, adventurous spirits, and a deep appreciation for destinations that defy comparison.
Few countries leave such a lasting imprint on even the most seasoned globetrotters. India is full of the unexpected, but one thing is certain: you won’t return home the same traveler you were before this Galavant.

A Few Considerations:
✨ You’re cool with long car rides & small planes
To reach the most magical corners of India, we’ll travel by road and regional flights. Some drives will be 4–5+ hours on rural, bumpy roads, and internal flights may use smaller aircraft. Motion sickness-prone gals, please keep this in mind!
✨ You love luxury, but appreciate character
Many of the hotels on this trip are former palaces and heritage properties. That means at some hotels, no two rooms are alike. We’ve chosen these hotels because they reflect the true spirit of India and, of course, prioritize safety, comfort, service, and style.
✨ You’re comfortable walking & climbing stairs
India’s historic sites (and even a few hotels) come with stairs—sometimes up to 4 flights. We’ll have porters for your luggage, but you should be confident walking several miles a day and standing for long periods.
✨ You’re ready to stretch yourself as a traveler
India is vibrant, complex, spiritual, and at times overwhelming. It’s not Western Europe. But if you come with an open heart and a curious mind, it just might change your perspective forever.
✨ You’re ready for a full (but fabulous) itinerary
To make the most of your time in India, this trip is intentionally full and fast-paced. You’ll have some free afternoons and flexible meals, but many days will be on the go. It’s not a slow, lounge-by-the-pool kind of trip, but any time you’re in need of a little R&R, we always encourage you to take the time you need!
✨ You’re open & excited to try Indian cuisine
We’ll enjoy plenty of traditional Indian meals, from street food favorites to upscale dining experiences. Some meals are set menus with limited substitutions, and while we do our best to accommodate dietary needs, flexibility is key. That said, many of our hotels offer Western or international options if you ever need a reset.
If you have any questions about the above, we’re happy to chat! Just email us at hello@thegalavantsociety.com
