A Note from our Founder
Some places you visit once. Morocco is not one of them.
We first took our Gals to Morocco in 2023, and I am not exaggerating when I say it was EVERYONE'S favorite trip, and I've been looking for an excuse to return since the moment we left.
If you love color, culture, art, architecture, interiors, fashion, and doing the kind of shopping that will genuinely require purchasing an additional suitcase (you've been warned), Morocco is going to absolutely steal your heart.
It's a place where every doorway feels like a work of art, every courtyard is more beautiful than the last, and getting lost in the souks is practically a competitive sport. But beyond the beautiful things, it's the people, the traditions, the incredible craftsmanship, and the moments you could never plan on your own that make this country so unforgettable.
This time, we're bringing back everything we loved while adding a few new surprises, from the creative energy of Marrakech to the golden dunes of the Sahara, the artisans of Fez, and an optional extension to the wonderfully eclectic city of Tangier.
And I'm especially excited that Michelle of MKW Creative Co. will be joining me as our newest Galavant co-host! With her incredible eye for design and all things creative, I genuinely can’t think of a more perfect person to explore Morocco alongside.
Morocco is bold, beautiful, wonderfully chaotic, and unlike anywhere else in the world. And I have a feeling this Galavant might just become another all-time favorite.
Who's coming with us?!

What the Gals are Saying….
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Spent a fabulous two weeks in a dream destination! Morocco was more than I could have ever imagined. Warm hospitality, delicious food, beautiful architecture and design, and a true cultural experience. We traveled from Marrakech to the Sahara, visited the beautiful Kasbah Tamadot, explored Chefchaouen, and discovered Fes. The trip was filled with lots of laughs, core memories, and a chip sampling that is truly unmatched! But best of all, lots of new friendships. Morocco was everything I hoped for and so much more!”
— Carolynn D.

““This was my first time ever traveling solo and my first Galavant and this group made all the difference. Getting to know all these incredible women from such different walks of life was so meaningful. The conversations, laughs, boat dance parties, inside jokes, I’ll never forget them. One of the best parts of this trip, for my Type A personality, was having the freedom to personalize parts of my itinerary without the stress of managing every little detail. Not having to worry about bookings or time management meant I could actually relax and soak in each moment without feeling rushed to move on to the next thing. I felt so taken care of the entire time. I would 1000% travel again with this group of Gals!

“Please take me back to Morocco!!! Travel is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. And honestly, SOLO travel is life-changing in the best of ways, and I 100/10 recommend it. Years ago, I stopped waiting for someone to travel with and started finding ways to travel on my own. My first solo trip was a small group trip with 11 strangers, and I was terrified! I've come a long way since then, but every journey starts with a single step, right?!”

Fez & Tangier
A Few Considerations:
✨ You’re comfortable getting a little lost (in the best way)
The medinas of Marrakech and Fez are wonderfully chaotic mazes of winding alleys, bustling souks, and the occasional donkey who absolutely has the right of way. Around every corner is another hidden courtyard, beautiful doorway, or shop you didn't know you needed. Come with curiosity, a sense of humor, and a willingness to embrace a little beautiful chaos!
✨ You appreciate boutique hotels with personality
We've handpicked beautiful properties full of character, charm, and unmistakable Moroccan style. Many are intimate boutique hotels and historic properties where no two rooms are exactly alike. Some may be larger, others may have a different layout or view, and that's part of what makes them special. We choose places with soul over cookie-cutter hotel rooms every single time.
✨ You understand that getting there is part of the adventure
Traveling by road is the best way to explore Morocco, and we've designed our route to make it as smooth and enjoyable as possible. That said, some drives will be 6–7 hours, with winding mountain roads and plenty of scenery along the way. We've planned thoughtful stops to break things up, because there's far too much beauty between destinations to simply fly over it!
✨ You believe the REAL Sahara is worth the journey
The desert 45 minutes outside Marrakech is NOT the Sahara. While many trips make the long journey for just one night, we're spending two glorious nights in the actual Sahara, giving you a full day to experience the dunes properly. Expect camel rides, star-filled skies, a beautiful luxury camp, and yes, a little sand in your shoes. Trust us, it's worth every mile!
✨ You're excited to embrace a different culture
Morocco is a fascinating blend of traditions, faith, family, and hospitality, and that's exactly why we love it. Life may look and feel different from what you're used to, and we encourage you to embrace it with an open mind. We also recommend respectful, modest clothing, particularly in more traditional areas. Think breezy layers, fabulous scarves, and effortlessly chic outfits.
✨ You're ready to eat your way through Morocco
From slow-cooked tagines and flaky pastillas to fragrant spices, fresh bread, and more mint tea than you thought humanly possible, Moroccan cuisine is an adventure of its own! Expect flavors that are sometimes sweet, sometimes savory, and always interesting. Come hungry, be willing to try something new, and don't be surprised if you develop a serious tagine obsession.
If you have any questions about the above, we’re happy to chat! Just email us at hello@thegalavantsociety.com
Accommodations
MARRAKECH
Villa Des Orangers
Our Marrakech home is the kind of place you'll want to sneak back to between shopping adventures. Hidden behind unassuming doors in the heart of the medina, Villa des Orangers is all leafy courtyards, beautiful Moroccan details, and that delicious feeling of being a million miles from the chaos outside. Think leisurely breakfasts, afternoons by the pool, and rooftop cocktails as the call to prayer echoes across the city. A little oasis of calm, just steps from all the action. We're already plotting our pool time.
SKOURA
Ksar el Kababba
One night, a whole lot of Moroccan charm! Tucked into the palm-filled oasis of Skoura, Ksar el Kabbaba is a beautiful change of pace after Marrakech's colorful chaos. Think earthy architecture, arched passageways, handcrafted details, and the sort of hospitality that makes you feel like you've been invited into someone's very fabulous Moroccan home. It's intimate, wonderfully atmospheric, and the perfect place to slow down before our next big adventure. Tomorrow, the Sahara!
THE SAHARA DESERT
Merzouga Luxury Camp
Yes, Gals, we're really sleeping in the Sahara! And no, we're not exactly roughing it. Merzouga Luxury Camp brings a little indulgence to the middle of nowhere, with beautifully furnished tents, proper beds, private bathrooms, and golden dunes quite literally on your doorstep. Days are for desert adventures, evenings are for watching the sky turn every shade of pink and gold, and nights are for stargazing somewhere wonderfully far from civilization. Two nights here, because one simply wouldn't be enough.
FEZ
Palais Faraj
If you've ever dreamed of staying in a Moroccan palace, Palais Faraj is about to make that dream a reality. Perched above the ancient medina of Fez, this beauty is a feast for the eyes, with intricate tilework, sweeping arches, ornate details, and terraces overlooking a sea of rooftops and minarets. It's grand without feeling stuffy, full of Moroccan character, and the perfect place to retreat after a day of artisan discoveries and serious souk shopping. Three fabulous nights of palace living to finish our Main Galavant? Yes, please!
TANGIER (extension)
Fairmont Tazi Palace
For the Gals joining our optional Tangier extension, we're keeping the palace living going! Set among lush gardens in the hills above Tangier, Fairmont Tazi Palace is a gorgeous blend of Moroccan grandeur and contemporary indulgence. Think elegant interiors, beautiful courtyards, a fabulous pool, and a spa practically begging for an afternoon appointment. After days spent exploring Tangier's galleries, boutiques, and bohemian corners, this is where we'll come home to unwind. Three extra nights of Moroccan magic? Don't mind if we do!

What to know
BEFORE YOU GO
-
Our Galavants are crafted for women 21 and up who crave meaningful travel, rich cultural experiences, and genuine connection. You don’t need a travel buddy, a milestone birthday, or a particular life stage to join us, just an open mind, a kind heart, and a sense of adventure. Whether you’ve traveled the world or this is your first big trip, you’ll feel right at home.
-
Our travelers typically range from their late 20s to mid 60s, with most falling somewhere between 30 and 55. But truthfully? Age isn’t the defining factor for joining a Galavant, energy is. We attract curious, independent, kind-hearted women who value depth, conversation, and the thrill of discovering something new. If that sounds like you, you’ll fit right in.
-
Absolutely—most of our gals do! We’ll pair you with a roommate whenever possible. If not, you can choose to pay a single supplement or wait for a future trip. Questions? Email us at hello@thegalavantsociety.com
-
We've packed this Galavant with incredible experiences, but don't worry, we've left plenty of room for a little independent galavanting, too!
In Marrakech and Fez, you'll each have a full free day to explore at your own pace. Think getting lost in the souks, indulging in a fabulous hammam, joining one of our optional cultural experiences, or simply lounging by the pool with absolutely nowhere to be.
Throughout the trip, we've also left several afternoons and evenings at your leisure, whether that's a rooftop cocktail, an impromptu shopping spree, or dinner with a few of your new Gal pals.
And for the Gals joining our Tangier extension, we've built in additional downtime to enjoy our beautiful hotel or explore the city's boutiques and galleries.
Want even more time? We're happy to help you arrive early or extend your stay. Because sometimes the best Galavant moments happen when there's absolutely nothing on the agenda!
